Imagine...
At first this may seem like a very odd picture to post, but it is something that is important to me. Most of my friends already know that John Lennon was a big inspiration to me as I was growing up. The day he died I remember hearing it on the radio while I was playing with some Barbie dolls. That day it felt like a family member had died.
I had spent most of my younger years (and still do) listening to John Lennon sing about the way the world should be and how we could make it so. I believe that if John hadn't been killed that he may have done a lot more good for this country and the world.
This photo was taken by Yoko Ono...These are the glasses that John Lennon was wearing the day he was shot. The day was December 8th 1980.

Hey... I dare not ask for details about those glasses. But I'm glad John was such an influence on you growing up. I have always heard that he would have made such an enormous difference in our world then, and for today.
I confess I never knew him well enough until I was older... I should say knew _about_ him (ya know what I mean)... but there's one thing I'm sure of: I believe that peace and love is so important and crucial in this life; he was such a powerful voice and it's a tragic thing his life ended so abruptly and cruelly.
