Fahrenheit 911 - review

I was finally able to download and view the movie and I have got to say that I can't see how anyone who sees the film could still believe that G.W. should be re-elected in November after all the lies and other things that he has done during his reign. In the film Michael Moore does something that he hasn't done in the previous movies, he doesn't show his face except in a minimal amount of shots. a lot of the file is made up of interviews done with members of the military, dead soldiers families and government officials and of course clips of GW as himself. The film does nothing more than show the contradictions in he comments made by this government and the effects that the lies they have made had on the country and other countries.

Of course we all knew that I was on the side of voting Bush out of the white house on the next election but after watching this film I can believe that anyone would vote for him at all. I feel that I have to do some to make others aware of the things that the media has not made wide public. People can try to say that MM made this stuff up, but the entire film is made up mostly by clips of news briefings and film taken on the battle Field with the young men and women fighting and dieing for a war that should never have happened.

I love MM. I love his work and I think that everyone who has the ability to see this movie, no matter what your views are, should see this movie. I can almost guarantee that you will be voting against Bush in the next election after seeing it.

Some people believe that this is more about Moore's personal agenda than it is about a factual documentary.
Facts don't lie, but presentation and interpretation is everything, so I can understand how some would believe it was just a matter of his opinion.
I haven't seen it yet, but I intend to - and I pretty much already know what to expect.
But doesn't it make sense that the most powerful man in the US (and world) - G.W. at the moment - would know and have relations with yet another powerful and rich man, the leader/influence of his country?
The nature of their relationship is the question, but leaders all got where they are today by knowing someone, by being in someone's pocket, and by catapulting their careers through allowing puppeteering. It's no surprise to me, and seems naive to think otherwise.

The key here is that no other president has had ties with terroist nations. Nor have they allowed those countries to be protected from the media by flying their family members out of the country 2 days after a terroist attack. If you watch the movie you will see the points that I am trying to make. They are not simply dismissed as associates.

So E, which terrorist's family got Paul Martin into power? How about Bill Clinton? Margaret Thatcher? Junichiro Koizumi? Which terrorists did those leaders and their families arm, fund and then assist until they launched the single deadliest attack ever on his country's soil?

Cause I'd love to hear that story.

while I can't speak for all of the above mentioned, I can tell you that former PM of Canada, Jean Chretien, has a huge stake in the oil business in Iran and most certainly has ties that are considered and would be considered suspect by all.
He was, and as a matter of fact still is, an advisor to Petrokazakhstan (quarterly revenue in 2004: 87.5 million).... and I believe his son has a considerable interest in the company as well.
I just think it's naive to believe that all politicians have ties to terrorist in one capacity or another, and I also think it's naive to believe that while others were in office, no planning of attacks was going on.
It's horrific, but people say "this never happened" and "there's no proof of that!" but they forget to end their sentences with "that we know of" - until Farenheit 9/11, most people had no freakin' clue.
Facts don't lie, but people do.

I'd put the link up for petrokazakhstan, but it ain't workin'... just add the dot com at the end and you're there.

Ugh!! Naive to believe that all politician ***DON'T ***have ties to terrorists!!!

Thanx, I'll check it out (doubly if I see the flick).
