Having Jemal's birthday early
I just couldn't wait, as with most things. I went out today with my daughter and found some great gifts for my husband. We got him a 27" TV (which I had to give to him today because I couldn't get it out of the car by myself.), an Xbox, a movie a game and a wireless controller. I think that he is mostly excited about the TV and the copy of Kill Bill vol. 2. So much for the stripper pole and light saber (but it might still find it's way into the birthday celebration).
I think I will go out to the video store and rent a few interesting looking video games for him to try out before we buy any games. I heard that Halo was a great game, but I don't know if it is his style of game or not. Does anyone have any ideas about good games for the Xbox? He has really liked games like Jak & Dakster, Ratchet and Clank, Final Fantasy, and he wanted Doom 3 for the computer but didn't have the graphics card to support it. I'm looking for something fun, not too stressful, but with a lot of adventure. I know Silent Hill 4 is coming out soon but I would like to find something sooner than that. Any ideas would be helpful, or even a good source for reviews would be nice as well.

For reviews and such go to http://www.gamespot.com for game rentals I use http://www.gamefly.com. It works like netflix if you've ever used that. Gamefly has been pretty nice usually fast delivery and if you play lots of games then its good.
If he wants an RPG and likes StarWars Knights of the Old Republic. Or if you wanna wait for an open ended style RPG wait for Fable.
Action wise you can't go wrong with Ninja Gaiden from the looks of that it was just great and I played a level or too pretty smooth stuff.

Thanks for the recomendations, I spent half the day watching trailers for different video games today and I think I found two or three that he might be interested in. I tried to get Halo but it wasn't in, I heard it was a good game too.

doh! how could I forget Halo?! Ugh... Well let's just say that the XBOX that we have is the Halo special edition box =) (Basically a green xbox that came with halo)
There are very few FPSs that I like. Tribes 2 was one because of all the team elements and such and Halo is probably the only other one because it has some great gameplay and a great storyline.
I wouldn't be too surprised if Halo is a little hard to come by only because Halo 2 is just around the corner.
If you can get a hold of it I'd get it!

I found this one game called "Voodoo Vince", it's a cute little game that reminds me of the old Gex games for Playstation. Only with a lot more detail. If you like the cartoony kinds of games you might want to give this one a try.
