The IPod

ipod.gif
I got an early birthday present today. I just couldn't wait. I mean when you have a car that has a AUX in jack you NEED to have an IPod right? Yeah, my husband has one that we were suppose to share but that didn't turn out too well. I am sooo happy with it, it is sooo pretty and it works sooo well. I wouldn't have bought any of those other crappy MP3 players they sell. Needless to say I got the 20GB and he has the old 15GB one. Not that I will ever possibly be able to use up the whole 20GB with songs. However, I am well on my way.

In an effort not to be copying my darling husband I would like to ask for some music suggestions. I will warn you that I have a very particular taste in music. I like a lot of punk and what I guess would be called folk music too. I enjoy listening to alternative music as well.

I guess I should list some of my favorites here and maybe you might have some suggestions based on that.

NoFX is at the top of the list, Green Day, G. Love & Special Sauce, Beck, Barenaked Ladies, John Lennon, Lunachicks, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Ramones, The Vaselines and Violent Femmes

I like music that is either fun and funky, punk mostly or barnaked ladies style. Or I like Music that has a point or a story to it. The newer NoFX stuff is about trying to take down George Bush and of course I am all about that. So in order to try and fill up this IPod I need more music and I need help. I would like to warn that I don't like rap or R&B music it's just not my taste, so please don't suggest it. I am hoping for some interesting responses though. Maybe I have even sparked some interst in some of you as well. You should try some of the bands that I suggested, if you check them out on I-tunes make sure you check with me about what songs are the good songs first.

How much Beck do you have? Midnite Vultures? Odelay? Sea Change, Mutations, Mellow Gold, One Foot In The Grave? Stereopathetic Soul Manure, Stray Blues? Shoot, there are more I can't even remember. He's also put out at least, like, 50 or 60 other songs on compilations or as B-sides etc., and the majority of these are also really good. The guy is just insane. If you haven't heard "Steve Threw Up", or "Burro", you are missing out!

I have a little bit from each of these: Midnite Vultures, Odelay, Mellow Gold, Sea Change and Sea Change. I remember "steve threw up" (I can't find it on I-tunes though)- we through out all of our CDs and now we just live on I-tunes it sucks that they don't always have what I'm looking for.
