Weekend Catchup

I really don't have much to say about today or this weekend. I got all of the copies of the movies that I ordered from Amazon and even though I did nothing all weekend I only watched OutFoxed and Unprecedented. I still have to watch the Uncovered, the truth behind the Iraq war. I really encourage all of you to check out these films, if you live near by you can borrow my copy. If you don't I have seen a copy of OutFoxed at Hollywood video, that is if you are too cheap to buy it. I think I may write more about each of the movies later but it is too late tonight.

However, I should really get on to other topics that are less related to politics. The difficulty is that I have spent most of this weekend getting depressed about the state of the world and what it might become. Some people don't realize just how strongly this effects me on the inside as will as on the outside. I wonder how different I am from others out there.

I ask this because I have read that people against Bush are suffering from stress overload now days and that it is becoming an epidemic.

I don't just write all of this stuff about Bush because I think he is a jerk and I don't want him to be president. There are also a lot of emotional things that are connected to how I feel about Bush being the president of the USA. I worry about what will come, how much more damage he will do to the economy and to the people of this country etc.. I stress out because I feel like there is nothing that I can do about it.

I know that there are a million groups that I could donate money to but I would like to do something more than that. Protesting is something that I thought about for awhile, but I have a family and it is the kind of thing that single people do. I would really enjoy doing some volunteer office work or making phone calls, something like that. I just don't know where to begin.

After saying all of that my husband and I were discussing earlier that it may not matter how much people do to try and oust Bush, if he has the money he can buy the votes. Hell he's got family and friends in every media and government office around the country, who can beat that? It's a really disturbing thought none-the-less. Could he buy the election? Could 2000 happen again? With electronic polls how would we know who voted for which candidate?
