My Desert Island
Jemal and I have been talking about this for days, it's the age old question, If you were to be trapped on a desert island for the rest of your life what 10 CD's would you have to have?. These are the CD's that I would have to have to survive on an island by myself forever.
- Pearl Jam- 10
- Green Day - Warning
- The Ramones - Mania (it has 30 songs on it)
- G. Love and the Special Sauce - Best of...
- John Lennon - Legend
- NoFX - War on Errorism
- Nirvana - Nevermind
- The Who - Tommy
- Bare Naked Ladies - Stunt
- Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes
Sure, I could have taken American Idiot instead of Warning but while I like the first songs on American Idiot it loses it's tone in the last two and I would much rather have one that I like every song on and that had the same rhythm through out the whole thing. And I know that The Who is a little off for me but to tell you the truth I grew up listening to it and I know every word to the rock opera.
So, tell me your picks. Or share your deep concern or love for the ones that I chose. I thought that this might be something good for everyone to finally get out in the open and we will really know the kind of person you are.

I had Sgt. Peppers on my list too but Jemal convinced me to take it off. If the list was 15 long it would have been on there for sure.
And you like a lot of blind musicians.

Here's Rolling Stone's top 500 albums based on, "the votes of 273 rock musicians, critics and industry figures, each of whom submitted a weighted list of 50 albums" and featuring a strong 60's and 70's generational bias, as well as a bias towards English and American bands. Wikipedia has more info.
They put Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band at number one and included the Beatles 11 times with 4 albums in the top 10.
And I didn't tell you to take TB:SPLHCB off your list - I just said that I'd put Abbey Road on my list instead. "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!" is a lovely song, but I can only listen to so many time before I want to put on a trampoline show to raise money to put out a hit on Mr. Kite.
I've been trying to narrow it down, and then realized that I have an 80GB iPod. Why would I limit myself to 10 albums?

Now that is just cheating. iPods don't count.

Sorry, it keeps spam down to a minimum. I have had any spam in months because of it. That and using Typekey. I really need some editing of my site, some kind of separator between the comments to they are easier to read.
