This was posted by a friend of mine and I thought I would pass it on to more of you. I watched this video and I was really impressed with the honesty on a national news channel (MSNBC). I am actually thinking about setting up a season pass for Keith Olbermann's show on my Tivo.

This one report really says more then any episode of "The Daily Show" I have ever seen. I am happy to see a news anchor really speak the truth and call the president out for all the stuff that is going on. You should really take a look at it. And I am putting it right here on my blog so that you don't have to follow any links to get to it.

Hope you enjoyed the show. Maybe it will give you hope or open your eyes. Either way, I have done my good deed for the day.

Just thought that I would share this with those of you that don't know. I posed this question to my friend and she found the answer for me.

I have been wondering for some time now, why there is no cent key on a keyboard. Admittedly you don't need it as often these day because how many things do you really need to notate with the cent symbol and it's pretty easy to just type "cents"

For those of you who really want to know, it's really simple on a mac just type OPT+$ to get a ¢ symbol. On a PC you need to type more then you do to just type "cent or cents" but here it is ALT+0162 to get the ¢ symbol.

I finished out the term with three 100% grades on modules 11-13. I am now awaiting the grade for my final, which I think I did a good job on considering I only worked on it for four days. Now that all of that is over I am left wondering what I will do until I can get a job in the fall. I am thinking about taking another class or two over the summer. Although, I wonder if I can handle the stress again quite so soon.

I'm allowed to say that cause this is my site...(sticking out my tounge)...

I have managed to answer every question on my final exam, I can't believe it myself. The only thing I have left to do is let the hubby read over it and proofread it for errors (I can't spell for crap). If I send it in early I get an extra 5 points, which might come in handy.

The last thing that I have to do and I will be done with school for the year.

I got the questions last night (I was checking my email all day). The questions are not as bad as I thought they would be, really. Especially since I have two weeks to work on it. I answered two out of the four questions already, but the last two are the hardest ones. I see a few late nights but nothing drastic.

I received a 100% on module 10, keeping my A average well into the second half of the term.

I got some other sad and interesting news from my professor today. She will be going through some surgery and the finals will be moved forward to April instead of May because of her surgery. The one bit of good news is that two assignments will be marked as automatic A's (ones that I have already finished....damn). It seems that all I have to do now is do the final correctly and I will finish with a 4.0 GPA...not bad for someone who is new at this.

I got a 90% on module 9, it is my lowest grade so far in this class but I am still proud of it. I think I worked pretty hard on it, I just had trouble with the question that I was being asked to answer. The professor said that I needed to add more detail and experience, but what do you do when you have no experience, make it up?

What can I say I am doing good. I just wish that my professor would stop giving free grades and grade my damn papers. I would feel much better about getting a 95 or even 85 as long as I knew I deserved it. Having her just stamp my module 8 with a 100% without even reading sounds like a cop out to me. Not to mention that it doesn't make me feel very good. I put in a lot of hours working on it, if I had known that I was just going to get a 100 I wouldn't have done so much work.

"You all worked very hard on your mid-terms so I am going to go ahead and give you all the 100% that I usually give after the mid-term! Make sure to get module 9 in on-time and then you won't have anything due again until April 4th. Enjoy your spring break from the class even if you aren't actually off. I will be grading this next module!"

Everyone say a little cheer for me...whoo hoo! I got my mid-term grade back and I'm feeling great!

"Your grade on the mid-term is 95/100. You did a great job and I am really pleased with your work! This is the kind of effort I expect so if you can keep this level of work then you should ace the class!"

I was so worried about doing the mid-term and what grade I was going to get, I was nuts for weeks because of it. This is the half-way point for my grades and I'm doing alright, more than alright I'm doing great! Not to mention that this essay makes up 20% of my grade for the term. I am just so excited right now I can't stand it. I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight.

I finally finished my mid-term and I sent it off to be graded. Who knows how long that will take. I wrote about 11 pages worth of information on four questions...that should be enough don't you think? I am just so glad to have it over, now I can lay back and relax for a couple of days before I have to start working on my next module. I am half way through with class my class too.

For the rest of the weekend I plan on laying around and watching movies, letting my head cool down a little before going back to work. It's a good thing we got a Tivo from some really good friends or I would have missed a lot of TV this past week. Now I can sit back and catch up.

I finally got a response back about module 6...it was another gimme 100% but this time she added in the email to me "Nice work! "A" work without any help from me!".. That makes me feel better. I don't have to feel like I didn't deserve it. Now back to the mid-term.

I have to work on my mid-term this week so it is very doubtful that I will have time to write much else. I have decided to call off going to the gym this week and just focus on getting this mid-term done, so it is only fair that I do the same for my postings too (right?).

For those of you who haven't noticed yet (and care to know) I posted modules 3-5 with their respective grades for you to read. I have to admit that I had to lie on some things because I had no other options. I will still post module 6 when it comes out (tue. or wen.) and we'll see how well I do on that one. Right now I am still holding an A average, but the last assignment and this mid-term were/are a little harder than the previous essays. Still Even if I fail the essay, and get a C on the mid-term I won't fall below a B average. This doesn't mean I won't try my hardest to get the A.

So, wish me luck....

Q1: On this question, you received 45/50. In this question, you do a good job of laying out person-job fit and person-organization fit. You clearly state your reflection and your experience while citing references from the text. The only area of improvement would be to give me more detail and references from the text. You did a nice job on this module!

Q4: On this question, you received 50/50. Your paper is the first one that I read, which gave me hope that the rest of your classmates would understand that you needed to explain your chart and include the 3 things you need to do in each answer. As I have continued to read the module 5 answers, I have found that this has not often been the case."

Is a grade as good when it is just given to you, without consideration of the work? This question is on my mind right now because I received an email from my professor that says:

"For all of the students who turned in their module 4 assignments on time, you will receive 100%. I would like to tell you that I was just feeling generous but, unfortunately, that is not the case. I am in a lot of pain and they have just found out that I have a cyst or something like a cyst on my spine. This has been a really rough and painful week and I know I am not going to be able to get your work back to you in a timely maner. Especially since sitting at the computer is the most painful thing I do. If you want me to go over your work with you then please contact me. Otherwise, keep moving forward and continue working on module 5. As always, please let me know if you have any questions!"

Last night I finally recevied my grade for module 3 and guess what folks I got a 95% this time. The reason I failed to get a 100% is that I forgot one of the more important parts of these essays, the experience. I forgot to write the experience for one of the questions and I got marked down 10 points because of it. luckily the class was awarded 5 bonus points because our grades were so late last week.

I don't want to seem like I am bragging but I got my second essay grade back, and I said to a friend that I would post each and every grade whether good or bad. I have good news, I got another 100%. I am very proud of myself for this since the last essay was rather simple. I have posted the email that I got from my professor if anyone would like to read it.
