I wanted to point-out today that I finally reached 100 posts on my mythology site today. I am very excited about the new format I have. I am really enjoying writing about my myths and legends from around the world. Today I discovered just how great Wikipedia is for doing this. I can now add links to Wiki pages and make the site even more descriptive. I see good things happening for the site now that is has more information and more detailed information by way of following links to other pages and Wiki descriptions. I would encourage all my friends and family to check out the site and give me your opinion on the what you think of the site.
Each post also has comments on so if you like something or just want to make a silly comment it will make my day, because so far no one has commented on my site and it is hard to be so excited about something and not get any feedback on it. I would love to have discussions on the myth posts about them, I love the topic and it covers a lot of things that I don't think many people have heard of.
The whole point to the site is to make it into basically an encyclopedia of all the myths I can find in the world. If you have any suggestions on myths, legends or folklore you would like to see up there just tell me and I will find it. Many things on my list are not found anywhere on the net, which I found fascinating since you would think someone would have written something about these things by now but I guess I am the only one.
Finally I got some info on how to update my site and this is what I came up with. I used the Movable Type Generator and a palette from Colour Lovers and I think it is nice. There were some complaints about my last choice of colors so I changed it a bit.
My old site just had too much crap on it that I didn't need. I may add a few things when I figure out how or get my husband to do it for me, until then this is what I got.
Any objections?
I have been thinking about trying to do some more things with this site beside the obvious political information that no one seems to care about but me. I think I would like to also add a section about entertainment and Judaical issues. I would like to release some of the pressure off of this site and I think that adding a few more topics can do that. I also have a few essays about education, gun rights, and abortion rights that I would like to post about soon.
What I really need to do is spend more time writing posts before I put them up. I usually just write them late at night just before I go to bed, meaning I don't have the time to write out something good. I think from now on I will spend time during the day researching and typing up issues. Then at night I will proofread and post. We will see how that goes.
I decided to start a new site for my more personal writing. I want to write more about my life and feelings and I didn't feel like it belonged on the same page as movie reviews and bush bashing. From this point on I will only be writing about the less personal stuff here and using the Life blog as a journaling space, where I hope to write at least a little every day. We will see how good I am at keeping that goal but it's my hope for now.

As you can see the colors and layout have changed for this site. My husband and I have spent two days working on the perfect design that exhibits my true personality. I came up with the design and he did all of the CSS styling and other coding that needed to be done. I mostly sat by and pointed out where he was missing tags or made creative decisions.
If you're interested in what the banner above is, the photo was taken in the front yard of my childhood home in Severn, MD. It was taken during a big snow storm we had in 1997 (For Maryland it was a big snow storm). I have a lot of stories to tell about that house and my childhood, so I thought that it would make a good banner photo for this site.
I have been thinking about what I want to do with this blog, I like writing about my life and what things are important to me. I would also like to write about what is important to others (in order to get them to read more often and post comments and stuff).
So, I am planning another remodel and topic change for the site. I know I do this a lot, but this time I think I am going to stick with it for quite some time. I am really putting some time into the design and layout of the new freshcaffeine.com. I want it to look perfect and be perfect. I will still keep the other blogs up for posting things that I don't want to have on my front page, but most stuff will be up front here. I really can't wait to have it finished and show it off.
Here we are again ladies and gentlemen... I just couldn't help myself, 2 whole weeks and no changes to the site... I just couldn't take it. So what did I do? I made my husband sit down and make this place look the way I wanted it to. He's a good boy like that.
I have some really big plans for what I want to do now that all of this is complete. I think you will all be very much surprised by what is about to come. There will be six sites with different content on each with one main page for the really important stuff.
I should have more things up tomorrow, but tonight I am going to go watch TV and eat some snacks. (so much for that diet)
